About Evergreen Privatstiftung

Evergreen Privatstiftung holds a number of company investments, primarily in the wood industry, trading, real estate and forestry sectors. It's task is to strategically manage and to further develop these subsidiaries in a sustainable way as well as to promote innovation in the forestry and timber industry and to support other non-profit and charitable causes. The foundation  actively initiates projects in line with the foundation's objectives and encourages the subsidiaries to implement and support these. 

The foundation was established in 1997 by the Austrian entrepreneurial Schweighofer family as ‘Schweighofer Privatstiftung’  and was renamed Evergreen Privatstiftung in 2019. Thus, the foundation symbolically expresses its core values of sustainability and consistency.

Business Unit Industry

HS Timber Group, based in Vienna, produces high-quality timber products, pellets and green electricity for its customers in over 80 countries. The group employs more than 2,700 people worldwide.
 

Business Unit Trading

DABG (Dr. Anna Bauthen Gesellschaft) is a leading trading company for sawn timber and supplies wholesalers and importers in the Middle East and Africa.
 

Business Unit Real Estate

The portfolio includes both Austrian and international properties, which are developed and managed from Vienna.
 

Business Unit Forestry

The forests in Europe and South America are managed sustainably and agricultural land is reforested.
 

Business Unit Shareholdings

Evergreen Privatstiftung holds direct and indirect investments in selected companies.
 

Social Responsibility

Evergreen Privatstiftung actively initiates projects in line with the foundation's objectives and, encourages its subsidiaries to implement and support social projects. The focus is on the following areas
